i LOVE mondays - blog guest : Wati Basri Thexeira

In the name of Almighty, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Gooooddddddd mmmmmooorrrrrnnniingggggg Vogue world! Its that first day of the week again - MONDAY and i hope you are LOVING your Monday! Smile dah-ling....

Creativity comes in many types and I believe everyone has their own individual creative-ness. And one such person I know that produce beautiful works with scraps of papers, photos and decorates them is Wati.

She's my cousin and an avid scrapper! And oh boy, she has come a long way in her scrapbooking hobbie actually. Looking at her works I am in full admiration.

Wati is married, with a son and hold a full time job. Yet, amazingly, she finds time doing her scrapping works whole heartedly and also conduct some classes! She's also a designer at the Laines Papeterie at Wheelock, Orchard. Not to mention sometimes she took part in an online scrapping contest with the other side of the world!..Talk about global scrapper-domination.....

Her son, Adam is her muse. When you see him pose, I'm no surprise he could turn into a model someday....

Scrapping is one way that you could decorate your home with your own hand and have that something personal as a display item.

And the choice of materials is endless. You can buy the materials at the Scrapping shops or you can be resourceful with your own junk. Old buttons, cut outs from magazines, pieces of fabric, gifts boxes.......these are some materials that you can turn into your own masterpiece.

Plus, this is one great activity to do with your kids. They could even decorate their own pictureframes or doing something for their friends and teachers. A good way to showcase your kids project as part of the home decor. I have always like this type of personal approach.

Wati does some private classes at your homes and even at her place too. Check out her website at Wati's Creation. She recently started a crafty business at d-memory keeper. I think you could still get that Introductory Price for their services. Do drop by her blog sometime and drool at her fabulous works + Adam is so adorable!

Hmm, maybe the Vogue U gals could do a session one day.......

I simply love these treatments. An old pen holder could get its new zest of life and even that plain candles be a great houswarming gifts and you can say you design it yourself!

And these decorative hangers makes cool door ornament and to hang at your car view mirror.

So, before you decide to throw some of those magazines or old knick knack...think again - YOU COULD RECYCLE into your very own beautiful craft. Or simply turn your photos into a great memorable decorative item. It is so much fun than just having normal picture frames.

Explore your inner artistic self!

Lovingly from your "kawai" designer - PearL

NOTE : you could also reach Wati at her email address watibasri@gmail.com for any scrapbooking or personalised consult.
